Wow, I am still so amazed at today, lol. :| It's so mad...and yet not, in a way.
What am I talking about? (I actually typed aboutome there. :| What was that supposed to mean?)

Well, I entered a Photography competition a couple of weeks ago (I've entered a few, but this was the village one.)And they gave out the prizes todayl...which I missed as I was at work all morning, so I didn't get to the display until the afternoon...and they had them all up with the ratings on and everything. The first one of mine I saw (I entered 4 pics into three categories...there were four categories altogether,) was one I took of Skipton Canal with like a reflection..which I didn't originally like but decided to put in. I saw there was a little '3rd' sticker on it!

So I thought, wow that's great...never mind about the rest...then I spotted my Portrait of Liz down at the bottom, with a big '1st' on it, lol :| I was sooo shocked...just totally...

Then the guy came up, gave me the prize (£20!) and not two but three certificates...then told me I'd won ANOTHER first on my dragonfly picture. :| i'm just, ARGH it's so amazing...especially seeing as I went through the summer with this 'I-can't-take-photos' thing.

I'm going to put the certificates on the wall...I'm so pleased. :D I hardly ever win anything really, lol so I'm chuffed.

Aside from that, the story's going well. I'm not going to say any more than that at the moment - It's top secret. But I read an interesting book yesterday called Fire Pony, which was good. Yay for reading! I'm looking at teenbooks again, I can't seem to find many adult sort of novels which grip me anymore...no harm in being a big kid anyway...and there's something about Children writers...(e.g Pullman, Rowling :D)

Fiiiinally glad that I have no work until Friday. Weeeh! I've been getting up at insane times of the day to get to the clinic, which I love. But I also love being in bed when it's cold and early outside, lol. (Or would that be early, and cold outside?)

Aaand, it's getting wintery...which means cold, and wet, and no more long days, and more money spending BUT

It also means Christmas and (hopefully) snow, and frost and little icicles and Brumbies in the wind AND amazing things like this...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/Badgerinboots/Rainbow_gate3.jpg

You could see the whole rainbow here but obviously I couldn't fit it in my lense, lol!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/Badgerinboots/Rainbow1.jpg

The tower near my stables... (I always think of The Two Towers because really, we're right between them.)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/Badgerinboots/Sunset_tower4.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/Badgerinboots/Sunset_3.jpg

And I have heater in my room so I never have to be cold again and I have ALL my music on my computer and I still haven't painted the walls yet but that doesn't matter because I like doing it and I'm not using commas just because and yay I have certificates and I WILL be driving soon. I Can and I Will. And I must stop saying Weeh.

Weeeeeh"!

Much photo posting soon I'm afraid...:P Been taking more calendar pics.

Quite a nice satisfying activity amidst the general sucky-ness. Not that things are really sucky...just kind of, a bit sucky. Lol! I've actually entered some photos into a competition thing which doesn't close until February or something so I'll probably forget all about it...

*Suddenly realises is starving* I must stop doing that. I get so involved in everything and then my stomach yells "I'm HUNGRY!"

I've felt really weird lately...just, strangely tired when I get up :| I thought it was something to do with staying up until 1am (LOL) so I had an earlyish night but I still just can't seem to get up...and when I do I still feel knackered. :S Maybe it's stress, LOL.

Picwaaaahs..

This chap is scooby, I worked on him the other day because no-one could catch him (hence the headcollar) He's very sweet but a handful. His owner says he's been abused but, hm...he's not afraid in my opinion.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh, super geek victory dance onslaught I'm afraid.

I have my own computer for the first time..like, ever. Lol....not only that but it has something like 210 GB memory so I can put ALL my photos on it and it hardly blinks. :| And it's SUPERfast. I can draw without it freezing as big as I want and EVERYTHING and it's in my room so I don't hae to go anywhere. The moniter's something like 29482457357837565 years old but it's nice and big for drawing which is great. :D

For some reason the silly computer building man has given me a set of 5 speakers (surround sound) and only three of them work but it has bass boost so I'm happy. :) << happy face.

It does mean no-one's going to see me for yonks, esp. when my sister's boyfriend turns up for 4 days (lol)

We have a puppwah!! It's very cheeky but we've been watching 'dog whispering' this guy called Cesar Millan, who is greeeat. :D So it's all fun...and I've been taking him for walks. LOL. he is a Papillon, soo I will admit I am very tempted to steal him, don some sunglasses and pretend to be Paris Hilton for a day...of course she has chihuahas but youknowwhatImean.

He is called Coco! Erm, will enclose photo when I remember how to cut..

Ah there we go )

Omgg photoshop opens sooo fast...

Ahem, yeah.

I went to the library and pulled out lots of Photography books and one on writing (I have decided I AM going to write a book. :D) And possibly publish another thing I have but more on that later.

Not reeally taken any more calendar photos yet but I WILL...*posts a couple so far*

I get far too excited about these things. :P

Besides that, bedroom is getting a serious re-vamp...I have a laarvely rainbow mirror and my walls are now creamy white and, just general spaciousness! Two walls left...more stuff to sort through, then I'll start sanding the windows...why I am telling you this I do not know...

Aaaaand I've framed my signed drawing of Pat...probably the only drawing I can actually look at without wanting to tear it up :|

Okay, going to cut waffle now. :D Oh but here's a pic of Pat from the event in Birmingham, and the Wally instructor in an insanely blurred photo just 'cause he rocks :D

'You know m'boy, I think I'm just about ready for another adventure'

Aug. 2nd, 2007 | 01:47 pm
location: Sur la chaise
mood: excited excited
music: Carrie Underwood - So Small

I've been working on a new horse...Rusty. :D He's a really special little thing...only a miniature, not quite as small as his girlfriend: Baby B. But still tiny compared to Dillon.

He had a real trust issue thing, esp. with anyone going on his right hand side...it took me the first day just to get him to accept my touch without running away or looking severely uncomfortable! The second day was a bit better, though he didn't really seem that different...but I thought he'd made some significant changes so I just hoped my guesses were right!!

The third day was amazing...he'd built up confidence so I played some more games with him...did a circle at the walk either way, worked on him moving his nose over...which was a BIG thing for him. ("Oh no, my defence mechanism!") By the end of the session he let his owner come right up to him...let me unlatch him in the arena (he usually can't be caught) and just stood quietly while I did my helicopter thing with the carrot stick over his head. I was quite pleased. :)

He's still got a way to go - uncertain about being caught in the field as so many people have 'grabbed' him in the past, and more work on picking his feet up...but I think he's done reeally well! It's such a strange feeling...knowing that the barriers that little horse put up are - he believes, what has kept him alive around humans for so long! And when they concentrate on you like that, and you can't see anything else...just them and the communication...it's like you could be anywhere in the world.

I can't explain, there's nothing like it. :) I would post a photo here but Lj is being EVIL so I cannae >:|

He is so gorgeous...little fluffy mane!!

We're going down to Birmingham tomorrow to spend 2 whole days at the Parelli International Conference!! :O omgggg....I can SO not wait. It's going to be absoloutely amazing I just know it is.
It's crazy what else goes on around you, I think this might just be the most important thing in the world right now. :| I mean PAT. Actualy PAT. :D :D :D And the things he's been doing with his horses lately...aaarghhhhhhhh! How can you not be amazed...

Aside from that I'm having a mad bedroom makeover...my whiles...? WHILES? LOL!! *Walls are becoming magnolia (I think that's what it's called...creamy colour)instead of green. Not the mural though, of course. :D I've bought an uber cool little lamp thingy that's all materialy *isert lots of other -ly words.* And I'm chucking out loooads of stuff. It's quite theraputic really. :D

Yard calendar coming along slowly! Well, photos for. I had a bit of a "I-can't-take-photos" complex the other day because the sun kept going in and then shining on the screen so I coudln't tell if what I'd taken was too bright or not and the horses were just being BORINGLY unphotogenic and I started panicking because I have like 30something to do and I only have like, 5 photos that I really like. :| But of course it'll be FINE. And they're not as bad as some of the photos I've seen people selling online. LOL. :D *Calms self*

Anywhoo, going dooooon south-er tomorrow so will blog when I get back!! WEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh excitement.

All the good things Xxx

C'est La Vie...Pourquoi??!

mood: crushed crushed
music: Jessica Andrews - More To Me Than You

Aaargh okay here's going to follow a mega- offload moanage which I really must do because I need to TYPE. I just feel really strange at the moment...I don't know why, it's like things are kind of uspide down...lol :|

I've probably said that before. Maybe that's why the world spins round...hah, you can tell when it's the wrong way up...

Hm, stuff just seems to be going Ka-put all at once...I broke up with my boyfriend last week which was really hard...and failed my driving test two days after that...for the THIRD TIME godammnit!!!!

There's this stupid woman at our yard who's caused loads of upset and there's been arguing which is REALLY horrid as everyone at our yard is so lovely and it's just GAH. >:| And now we've been for a ride on Dillon which was TOO much really, it went fine until we turned back and decided to go the LAST part (only about 10 metres) over the moors and mum got on Dill instead of me. He'd been fine though still very unconfident. I got on this friends horse, mum sets off up the hill...next thing I know mum's on the floor, lol.

I felt really bad, like I shouldn't have put her on him and thoughts of "Oh my god he's just dangerous we should sell him" and are we ever going to be able to ride him out at all?? it was just ..pffffffffffffffffff. And I was a bit dissappointed at him for bucking as well although we think he spooked...thankfully mum wasn't badly hurt but, it's just NOT the best time for it to happen...

To top it all the stupid woman was there when we got back and woudn't accept an apology from mum or her friend for whatever happened...ARGH. I'm just keeping my head low and getting on with it, at least she's not working there which is...whew.

SIGH. I haven't felt this uppety for a while, it's like being in a bloody washing machine! Is anything simple??!

Ah well, end rant. Moaning doesn't help I guess. :| I just feel like everything that is good is suddenly a complete pain in the backside...can't help thinking, what is the point??
Maybe I'm crazy for wanting to go to America and teach when I can't even train my own horse...or be fully confident riding out...or cantering...I don't know. But what else have I got? Besides photography but that's not the same.

Ho hum...see how we go. Hope the world will right itself again. Or do something on its side. You can never tell.

Aaaaaaaargh, I'm so frustared. No, not quite but something similar. It's a perfect day, sunny and there are new horses at the yard and I have a BRAND new lense and I can't photograph ANYthing because all my CF cards are full and I have over 400 photos on one and the CD drive on this PC has been broken for AGES so I can't add anything to disc, or even on laptop as it is sooo slow and the discs are too small anyway and just BLAHhsidjijdaidai/;! Oh bob, if this computer crashes :|. I'll lose a LOT of photos. *Tries very hard not to panic*

I've been on here all morning trying to fix it but to no avail. I suppose we'll just have to ring computer-man again even though he didn't turn UP last time...*fumes*.

Aheh, yeah rant over. :D Horse rant to follow.

The new job, whew...you know when I started working with these other horses I thought, they're going to be easy compared to Dillon. I bet they're all well behaved and stuff...and yeah, for the first few times they were, pretty much!

Of course that was before they got turned out into the big grass filled green paddocks. :|

There was this one horse (they'd been a bit difficult to catch anyway) and I had his normal headcollar instead of my Parelli one...and he kept moving away from me but I thought, that's not a problem...I did a bit of catching and got to him and he stood very still to let me put it on. Soo, of course I went and thought "Oh, that was easy!" And got over-confident leading him down...lol...

We got about 4 metres from the gate and he suddenly stopped and threw his head up, I just looked at him like..."Huh...uh oh..." then he turns tail, braces his neck, pulls the lead rope clear out of my hands (few rope burns) and galloped off up the field again. :| Very strong horse, lol.

So, I trolloped back up there again, thought "I'll damn right hold on this time" and there he is trotting around with this rope dangling around, lol. I caught him again and got back to the bottom of the field and he does EXACTLY the same again. (Very many rope burns. :|) So I thought, "SOD this." Went and got Parelli halter and some gloves and went back and got him a third time.

We got to exactly the same place and he stopped. I saw him thinking about it so I just braced myself. He took off like a shot, got to the end of the rope and there was no way he was pulling THAT out of my hands. He spun round like he'd been kicked in the bum and just looked at me.

"Oh...well, that didn't work."
He didn't do it again. :D He's the worst one though, when he's right brained he'll like, walk right next to you and OVER you, bumping your shoulder with his and you can't get him out of your space at all, but he runs over you. It's so very not-good, lol. I tried backing him up just to get myself some safety! I managed to get him to do it but I have to use steady pressure from the halter, I tried wriggling the rope but I thought he was going to rear and I didn't want him landing on me and didn't have time to work on it seeing as he's not my horse...

At least he's in a small paddock now so he's fine to catch. It's so weird, I've never not been able to back a horse up before. :| I mean I know I can do it, there'd just be a few fireworks which I can't really afford, lol! There was another who wouldn't be caught, one who bolts out of the stable...one that whinnies in your ear and swishes all the time...one that kicks so you have to pop it in another stable just while you skip out, one that bites when you're not looking...and one who recently charged someone with its ears back. LOL!

Well at least I'm using my halter on them all now. The hard thing is, I know I could get any one of them and sort them out within a month...but you just can't do anything if they're not yours. The plus side is I am really learning. :| I mean, really. They're all sooo different. I'm sure they think I'm different too, lol...and they are all very lovely in their own way. Plus you get nice days like yesterday where they're all left-brained and wonderful and it makes it all worthwhile.

I think the thing is with Parelli horses, that you know how to get them left brained...but not only that, you train them so that when they ARE right brained you have enough control to let them 'be' right brained but be safe at the same time. So they can have a paddy at the end of the rope and you don't get trodden on, kicked or knocked over! Ah well, if I can use my halter I'm safer than with anything else...and I'm not using anything else. :| Ever. :| Again. :| Lol, well...not if I can help it.

And the plus plus PLUS side? It's making Dillon look extra bloody special. ;)

Okaay gonna go now because for some reason my throat is parched and I htink I mgiht just die of dehydration which won't be nice because I would very much like to get Level 1 and try out my new lense before I die.

Goodbye!

Wow!! I sold my first photos today! :O I mean actual proper comissions!!! Someone wanted me to take some photos of their foal...bless it, so I...did! I sat in the field for aaages (took over 100 photos) :| But I'm really sort of getting the hang of the settings now!

Aaanyway, she chose twooo...and I got professional (well -ish, the stupid shop people were very lacking in brain power) prints done and everything! And I got money for them! :O It seems insane really, to get money for sitting in a field with a horse, doing something I like...lol!

Here's ooone picwah of 'Misty', not one of the actual comissioned ones, but it's my personal favourite. :)

(Ceinie, how do you make cuts? Lol, photo too big)

I've just ordered a telephoto lense as well :| expensiveness but wooow...and I'm going to take a photo of EVERY horse on the yard for a calendar :O, I don't know how yet...lol but it will happen. (I'll have to really try not to take 100 photos for each horse seeing as there will soon be 30 :|)

And yard job is fiiine...though it's SO weird handling non-Parelli horses, lol. :| I don't know about gaining experience so much as 'near-death-experience' but oh well...plus it took me AGES to catch one, which bolted on me twice and gave me rope burns...until i put the parelli rope on it that is, muaha. :D And then another one decided to not-be-caught...I know if I could just take the time and train them it would be fine but I have to go and give teas and things... >:| if the silly owners trained them properly...but oh well, lol...it makes Dillon look very very good indeed. Apart from bolting through that gate and bashing my leg on the fence, very pretty bruise. Though that was my fault really..and my leg was subconsiously protecting the saddle, i think...

I've been filing his feet myself now too, what with being abandoned by the barefoot specialist and the alternative being either a farrier or £40 every six weeks. :| I think they look pretty good myself. :D

Weeh, at least I got paid this weekend. Even if Bird did nearly bash me against the wall...and trod on my foot.
And I've been digi-drawing again, nothing finished yet...and not fast-like or anything as computer is reeeally straining my eyes what with having to change the screen settings to like-tiny. :-/ I so need to save up for a decent photo-drawing-compatible computerness.

Send out the chi, it will come. :D Lense soon :O wowowowow...and driving test tomorrow...lol...of course, it's just a test. :P

Love! Xxxx

...They're completely irrelevant but we're glad they're there right?

Poor old LJ, I'm rather neglecting it. To be honest I'm neglecting the internet entirely, though I wouldn't use the word 'neglecting' as I think spending 3 hours every night for 3 years on the computer was enough for a lifetime. :|

I don't miss it either. :D

So happy now summer's here, I rode my horse out on the road for the first time at his new yard, just a little ways but he did really well. Only a little spooking...and now I'm more confident, I can just be there for him and let him get on with it, without getting in the way.

I've also got a new job! Finally working with horses..I've wanted to do it for so long I can hardly believe it's really happening, lol! It's only every other weekend, but it's handling at least 11 horses...plus DIYs if needed which makes 23. It's the first step to where I want to be, at least a start anywyay...I'm so chuffed. :)

Had to send my camera lense back, there was something wrong with the mechanism :S Soo no pictures for a week :( It's so sunny as well, lol! Gah. And someone at the yard has a horse somewhere else which has just had a foal and she wants me to go and photograph it :O Wow, summer's coming too and the yard wants a calendar making with portraits of the horses and they might just ask me to do it! Wheeeeeeew.

So many opportunities...it's just crazy.

Aside from that I got my bellybutton pierced :O Yehaw, and have been watching far too much Buffy. LOL

"I wear the cheese, the cheese does not wear me."

I'm giving up my cleaning job, as it'd clash with my new one kind of...and summer's coming and I don't want to be cooped up cleaning a café. :P

There's also the possibility of there maybe possibly being another horse too but it's very sort of maybe possible as in probably not but you know. :P

Crazycrazy world...

Okay, better go now and have a shower as am working all day tomorrow. Pheeeeee!

Hugs and stuff to all

EDIT: I just realised I said 'Summer's coming' three times. :| Am I that excited about it....?

Wow, chocolate just appeared, from nowhere!! That doesn't happen very often...

I realised I haven't journal-ed for aages :| So I better. LOL. *Pets journal*

SO many things have been happening it's unbelievable...work is going reeeally well, loving being on reception at the clinic and meeting so many different people.

The cleaning job is quite fun too, albeit hard, lol. Lot of work for £5 an hour but then it IS only cleaning..and there was the flood. :|

The upstairs washing machine leaked and decided to rain on the entire erm...downstairs floor. It soaked right down through to the cellar, I kind of had to wade through a lake to get to the phone which wasn't very fun...LOL.

I really feel like things are happening now though which is SO much better than before when it was just stagnant and boring and..well. :P

Going to France again in March, can't WAIT. I had a funny liberative moment yesterday where I think, had there been an airport next door and a flight to Colorado I would have been on it :|

(Of course if there were an airport next door I would ANYway but still)

Weeeeh, Gabby is very blessable and settled in tres well...just a problem of finding her somewhere to stay while we're in France. Though I think we may have somewhere...

What else...oh yes, NEW camera. WOW :|Got it for 18th..(went for a meal for 18th which was laarvely! *Finds photo*)

Photo:-

Lovely people! (Gr, why won't it FIT)

Yes, only taken a feeeew pictures so far as it's so WET everywhere. >:( More coming soon though :P

Maay be going down to London at some point, we shall see.

On the horse front < begin parelli ramble >

I've ALMOST got my Level 1 :O I have only three tasks left, so near and yet so far. Thing is I can DO them...I just really need to put in the work now and practice my socks off. I will have it by August, I will. :D Same with Driving. Heh.

I just sent an Article to the Savvy Magazine, they have like a feature thing on people's letters with a theme...the theme for the next one is Confidence so I went and typed up a load of stuff from my head...hopefully they'll put it in...would be nice :)

Allso...they're building a new world center. :O Wooooow! AND...if you donate a little money to help them build it, you can get a pavestone with like a dedication in to a horse/horseman/horsewoman and it goes in the floor walkway thing..like Hollywood. :D LOL

I'm not telling you who just drew out some money to donate...

</ end horse ramble>

I believe that's most of my intriguing life as of late...:P

I shall try and Journal more often but I can't promise anything...

Keep in touch

It is erm, what day is it...Friday! The 22nd of Demember. No, December. :D
Ernie's snoring away in the corner...(Ernie is a toy...thing which belongs to the dog. You stand on him, or throw him or something and he says "I'm so sleepy, I need a nap!" then sings Twinkle Twinkle and starts snoring...it's funnier if you kick him...then he yells "I feel great!" I think he's a masachist.)

The dog's stolen Lizzie's chair, which won't go down well when Lizzie appears. Well, the fact that she's in her chair won't go down well but the dog probably will..

I've actually surprised myself this month! People keep asking me "Are you ready for Xmas?" and for once I can reply "Yes!" Then they give me this weird look...
I've got everything ready for a change! Except for the cards which I wasn't going to bother with, except I got 5 and then felt guilty so..! LOL..

Oh crap, Ernie's buzzing... :|

Not really THAT much to report save that I have kind of a sore throat thing which is GAH ish...and I hurt my back somehow too LOL (No I'm not moaning...I am fine :D) I thiink maybe I overdid it with the mucking out/5 hours in computer chair/cleaning with killer mop thing.

(The back, not the throat.)

The cat threw up all over my clothes this morning which was delightful, I guess my jeans were muddy anyway but STILL.

I've spent half the afternoon writing my 'Letter of thanks'. It's this Parelli thing called the Scrapbook of Thanks that some members are putting together. Well, they already did a big one but they're making another with a Kids' section so, Naturally.. :D

You put like loads of photos in and write a little letter of thanks, mine's hardly little (you know how long winded I can be *COUGH*) and you have a page each. So nice.

Got tae go to work tomorrow, funfunfun (hah) I spent most of last Saturday putting greenery in the woody tree thing. Okay I'm waffling :P

Went to see Happy Feet the other day, BLESS that. It was veryfunny. I was in that mood anyway but STILL. LOoooool.

Right I'm gonna go before erm, before I really waffle.

Might be uploading some pics or something after Xmas...willsee.

Holy bob, where has the time/day/month/year gone??! There's xmas stuff in the shops already for the love of juniper bushes. :|

I realise now that I haven't updated since I got back from France, LOL. So now I am f-o-r-c-i-n-g myself to Journal.

I've just found a strange page on myspace with someone called Betty Curse and I can't decide weather I LIKE her music...but here I am playing it, wait...that and this weird country guy. (It's bad, I've suddenly got a Country addiction. Can't help it. :| Honest.)

So, here I am back from France which was fanTABulous as always, Dad spent most of the two and a half weeks on the roof (lol) fixing the chimney, no, wait, REBUILDING the chimney. (lol) But, omb we have a STOVE, and it actually works and it's SO warm. :o

For those of you who've never been to the South of France in winter, don't be fooled by the myths of it being warm all year round, November is FREEZING!

Anyway, erm...what else...boyfriend of sister came today on the train which was very last minute and insane...but fun.

AndandAND OMGGGGGGGG we have a DOG. :O

Anyone remember me mentioning a dog walking job? Well, the lady of the said dog moved down south since...and she's got cancer the poor thing. :(

She is very not-well at all, lol and wasn't able to look after Gabby any more so she needed a new home...and of course she asked us first if we'd like her aaaaand, as they say, the rest is history.

She's been here since Sunday and is getting on amaaazingly with the cats and everyone! She's sleeping on my bed, LOL which is incredibly funny as she's woken me up at 8am every morning, today by barking in my face. :|

She has these little toys too *FOW* Clifford the Big red Dog, Ernie (from Sesame Street) and Exorcist Pig. Thing is, they ALL have sound thingies. Sooo, when she gets up she brings you one...

You can imagine. I had exorcist pig playing FOUR times. LOOL and Ernie...

"I feel great! I feel great! I feel great!"

I vividly remember saying, half asleep...

"That's nice dear, but not at 3am"

Gabby, or, I think her real name is Gabriel...is a 4 year old boxer and is SO well behaved. :D Picwahs coming soon.

I must say that our house is once again beginning to look like 'Seven Sanctuary!' Or it will when I get The Mouse, but, that's another story.

For now, here's a piccy oooof me and Liz en France. (This was October, believe it or not. It may get cold in November, but they still have SEASONS and SUN!)

Annnnd...this is, me LOL and the new sunglasses. :D (I broke the last pair)

These took some getting as we paid for them twice SOMEhow and had to explain in French how it happened, LOL...so, much valued and RED. (Red is my new sub-favourite colour. For those who don't know, my all time favourite is Blue. Can't beat blue. ;D)

Recovering well from the operation, you can barely tell I've had stitches at all save for two small lines that look a bit like cat scratches, almost. That's keyhole surgery for you...

I've been draaawing too sortof but you cannae see those (haha I'll tease) parce que they are on the laptop which I am not on but they should be appearing soonysoon.

Anyhoo, I think that's all for now, I'll update you in time. :)

Keep in touch,

This has to be the most amazing week in the history of amazing weeks. (And yes, there were quite a few!)

I mean it when I say I am seriously going to miss w/e LOL. (Work Experience)

For those who know not, I've been 'shadowing' a Photographer for a week. (He takes photos for the Craven Herald { www.cravenherald.co.uk ) and they are amazing! Look at Photo Sales :D)

I've seen all sorts from a Blind Man who's cycling to the arctic circle with his guide dog in a sidecar he built himself, to Local Galas, to Lock Keepers and Latvian students! I think it's the most I've learnt in such a short space of time...

And I'm definitely going to invest in a new camera now!

Hopefully he's (Photographer) going to help me do a portfolio for my sister. Which will be just WOW :o Because I'm borrowing his camera! And we're doing an outside studio thing with sheets and reflective doodaas and just...wow. *Feels very lucky*

***

The horse 'aint any fatter, isn't any thinner either...yet, but 'aint fatter.

>Hyperness Overflow>

We are picking up Fintan Sir Bobbo on Monday Yes Monday which is the day after Tomorrow! *OMG* :O Hopefully that's not related to the movie because I don't really want a tidal wave to hit Liverpool on that particular day.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's HESFES in a week and it's been so HOT and just before I have a driving lesson and then we're going to see Lenn Judd horseperson with Carol and I WILL learn to ride without being bolted with (LOOL, it was a close shave that day) and it's just summer and wow.

And OMB. I took photos. I actually took photos I mean PROPER ones, and now I think I almost know how to do them something like. LOL.

Wow...that SPARROWglove. LOOOOOL.

Anyhoo, going away for the week and I'll probably take this opportunity to be anti-internet because I CAN be so, au revoir for now.

Blessed be*

May all pictures live forever. *Punches air*

This week:

A new horse has arrived at the yard, by name of Monty. He's supposed to be an appaloosa but he's OBVIOUSLY come from ireland, he has a draught head...I'm sure he's a cross. And he may possibly...maybe be going in with Dillon.

Dillon, yes...is still irrevocably lame, lol. Can't get a specialist out to him as he's fully booked, so he's going to get lots of Shiatsu and most likely a vet x-ray which will not be cheap at all.

I may however have kind of a job thing. (Babysitting...well not really as person is 12...but, I get paid!)

'Part from that been taking photos.

L-O-L

If I had to explain, you wouldn't understand.

Have just concocted a CV and sent that off to a PNH Instructor down south who will, I Hope, get at least something sorted out for me par The Future and Life. LOL.

Won't give up on it, I can't. It's horses or nothing. Even if I have to emmigrate to a Dude Ranch in Canada or something...

HesFes (Home Educator's Seaside Festival) is almost two weeks away. It seems years since the last one, so much has happened!

Ac, I'm blabbing. Then again it's just me, the computer and a keyboard so, one can't exactly help it.

I keep trying to write a book and/or draw but I feel a bit like a stuffed pillow. Stuff only goes in, looks like it's full...yet you can fit MORE in and whatever goes in...won't...come...out?

Okay, bad analogy.

I have to conquer roundabouts, find Photography Man, visit boyfriend of sister and book in to see two people all in the next 7 days not to mention do some French, finish this drawing, think of some kind of Playday for this summer (horsewise) unpack, pack. Find stuff. Lose stuff and find it again...

No, now I'm just MAKING myself sound busy, LOL!

Going to go before I Hit The Desk, Vin Diesel style. (Not my fault, I'm under influence of Fintan)

Adios!

Badger...

I am going to France for a week tomorrooow. Flying there! (yaay, I love flying...)

I've been reading the Faraway Tree recently which has been VERY funny as I haven't read that since I was...well, younger. Bless MoonFace. Excuse the expression but, he Rocks. >:D

I'm more hopeful about Dillon now! Took him in the arena yesterday. [The flies are laying off pretty much now thanks to this new stuff we've got.] I pointed my finger out to the right, thinking "Oh I'll rest his leg and only do a circle at the walk..." so much for that plan! He saw me start to point, squealed, and then I just saw dust.

Mad horse! Cantering round. Thank goodness he's not actually in pain when he runs, it just kind of makes him move awkwardly. LOL. I asked his HQ round and he tried to attempt some fancy move, found his legs couldn't quite move fast enough, skidded and looked all confused and sorry for himself. Silly boy.

I managed to get on and just ride a little at the walk, (didn't realise how much I'd missed riding actually.) The great thing is..he wants to move, canter and play...so I know he's determined to get better.

Hopefully over this week he won't get too fat anyway. ;)

Also I'm kind of almost have..(Lol?) finished a drawing in graphite, somehting I haven't worked with for aaaages. Will pop that on here somewhere when done/
*Can't type today*

I think that's it..anyhoo...might not find a cybercafé (en fait, probably WON'T)

So, see you in a week or so! (so so. So..)

Au revoir!

Fire

May. 9th, 2006 | 07:36 pm
location: On a little white cloud...
mood: Hm. Hm.
music: Coldplay - Yellow

LOL...:|

Not sure where to start!

Well. The STUPID farmer...on our yard lit his STUPID bonfire...and there was a post on with some tar or something, and him being him drove up the fields and left it. To the wind.
Thankfully, we happened to arrive at about 4:30.

Us and Bev, (other-horse owning person) were just sort of talking, and she said she'd seen the fence on fire. Sooo I started mucking out thinking 'Hah, stupid farmer's fence...' BUT.

In the space of ten minutes my mum was yelling me, saying something about the horses and I thought they'd got out. (Usually happens)

So I grabbed three halters, got out there to find the biggest cloud of smoke you ever saw. :| The fire was taller than the bloody telegraph posts!

There was just us three then, mum rang the fire brigade (it took them got knows how long to understand where it WAS) meanwhile this billowing cloud of smoke was covering the field where these three horses were. :|:|:|

We got into the field and you just couldn't SEE. The others were ready for knocking the fence down and letting the horses out that way but it'd have taken too long, the only way out was to lead them through the smoke!!

I just started walking through the cloud and I could see the horses all gathered right up at the other end, panicking and trying to get through the fence.

Sarah was really worked up.. (she's a lovely Parellied Saddlebred who is very very sensitive) and I managed to catch her, everyone else struggled a little, Spike (Parellied thoroughbred ex-racer) was rearing, Calypso (little old chestnut mare) didn't want to move.

Most of it's just a blur, lol but there was a LOT of rearing and snorting and somehow we got those horses through the smoke and out of the gate. :|

Then the fire-people came, followed by half the village. LOL. And it took them AAAGES to put it out, but the really scary thing was that used to be Dillon's field, and the smoke was from tyres burning. (Poisonous) So another ten minutes and the horses might not have been breathing.

Eeeeeeeeeeeh *tries not to think about that*

BUT we're protected, and everyone's fine and dandy! :) And I'm so glad the horses, well two of, are Parelli else they probably wouldn't have followed us through it!

I must post photos of the remnants just because. LOL.

The tree where it started.

The tyres. They just went WOOOSH! And were up in flames.

Hm. LOL.

All you could see here was just black smoke. VERY scary.

Aaaaanyway, apart from all that Dillon's cheerydo! Nicki (Shiatsu person owner of Spike) thinks he might have put his hip out,
but in himself the flies are keeping off and he's very jolly which means he's not in pain and will recover!

(When he's not chuckling to himself you know he's not feeling well. LOL)

AND we're going to France in a week. WOOOOoooowww!

Bettergo. Toodleypip!
